Why is calibration so important?

Calibration ensures accuracy of your data loggers by comparing the readings to the references standard and then making adjustments, as necessary.

All equipment is susceptible to measurement drift; Tecnosoft recommends carrying out this check every 12 months, because:

  • Data Accuracy: Annual recalibration ensures that your data loggers provide accurate data readings. In fact the accuracy of the readings worsen over time and use. With longer periods between calibrations, the risk of significant drift increases.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Many industries require monitoring instruments to be calibrated regularly. Make sure you comply with your industry guidelines. Through regular recalibration you will avoid incurring penalties.
  • Risk Reduction: Readings can be inaccurate without regular calibration placing process and quality at risk and causing production errors, financial losses or damage to brand reputation.

What should I do now?

Send us your data loggers if you have not yet been carried out the annual check,  otherwise plan future recalibrations ahead of time. Do not overlook the importance of recalibration!
